Pre-Order How-To and FAQ
WARNING FOR US-BASED READERS: Mail scams are on the rise this year! I use USPS to ship out my pre-order gifts, but please know that USPS will NEVER text you about an incoming package! If you receive a fishy-looking text from the USPS, UPS, or FEDEX asking you to click on a link or give out personal information, please delete it!
Q: Why should I pre-order?
Pre-orders are incredibly important for authors like me! Nowadays, publishers can only afford to support and promote a few books per year--the equivalent of blockbusters in Hollywood--while leaving everyone else to fend for themselves. That's easy to do if you have a Youtube channel with millions of subscribers, but not so easy for the rest of us. If you've enjoyed this comic over the (oh Lord) last eight years, pre-ordering is the best way to support me and my work!
Additionally, everyone who pre-orders the Glass Scientists will receive exclusive thank-you gifts!
Q: What pre-order gifts will I receive?
The final lineup of pre-order gifts is currently TBD but will most likely include: a signed and personalized bookplate, an enamel pin set, a bookmark, as well as digital gifts like desktop backgrounds and lock screens. Please check back here or consider signing up for the Glass Scientists newsletter to see the final gift lineup!

am currently designing and ordering supplies for the gifts, which will
be hand-assembled and mailed by me (and maybe some friends if I can
bribe them with pizza)!
Q: Who is eligible for pre-order gifts?
Everyone who pre-orders from any vendor is eligible for pre-order gifts, including Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Bookshop.org, or your local independent bookstore. (If you are able, I encourage you to shop local!)
Q: How do I receive my pre-order gifts?
After pre-ordering your book, fill out the pre-order gift Google form.
Then, wait for your gifts to arrive!
NOTE: You MUST complete this step to receive your gifts! Gifts are fulfilled and shipped by me, not the bookseller, and this form is the only way I know who has placed pre-orders!
Q: When will my pre-order gifts arrive?
Pre-order gifts arrive separately from the book itself--the book is shipped by the publisher, but the pre-order gifts are designed and shipped by me! Because
I can't work as quickly as a big warehouse can, it's going to take me a
few weeks to complete the shipping process. The timeline for pre-order gifts should look similar to Kickstarter backer rewards.
In the meantime, please keep an eye on your email! I may need to reach out to you to confirm your delivery address!

Volume I collects Chapters

concept art, art tips, and more!
Q: Can international (non-US) readers pre-order?
