I’m not sure if I’ll have time to explicitly explain it, but the glowing purple eyes means those skeletons are sentient but dormant. Miss Lavender (and her partner Mrs. Cantilupe) may or may not possess the power to bring those bones to life as their faithful servants when the need arises. This is a power she will most certainly not be mentioning to potential donors during the Exhibition, not least because extremofauna, however skeleton-ized, have a way of bringing about world-ending events.

Please note that Lavender doesn’t study every type of giant monster–extremofauna specifically refer to Lovecraftian-style creatures who exist on the dangerous edges of time and space!

SHOP UPDATE: At the end of January of this year, the USPS imposed new restrictions that makes it much more difficult to send flat mailers (which ship comic books, small/medium art prints, and small items–basically, almost all of my store). I have been working with a couple shipping services which offer work-arounds, but since the systems are new, it’s taking a while to work on the kinks. If you are a non-US customer, I’m afraid your package may have to be sent out later than usual. I apologize for the delay! Dealing with this strange, arbitrary new change to mailing rules has been very stressful for me, and I hope to figure out a solution as soon as possible.
